ABSTRACTS OF PRESENTATIONS

How American Culture Today Favors the Resurgence of Freemasonry

This presentation will examine demographics and current cultural trends that outline an entirely different future than most leaders of our Masonic fraternity have considered. We need to take another look at the potential we have in not only turning our downward trend around, but creating the largest membership we have ever seen over the next 20 years. It truly is all about combining the numbers with the needs of men.

Innovations in Membership Recruitment

This presentation will examine various methods that have been successfully used to recruit new members into the York Rite. Topics will include: (i) presentations for Lodge or other Masonic meetings, (ii) literature for displays, (iii) mailings to prospects, (iv) websites and social media. Samples of the various literature will be distributed.

Degree Conferrals & Festivals

This presentation will examine various “non-traditional” techniques used for degree conferrals. Topics will include: (i) festivals, (ii) audio-visual aids, (iii) prologues and epilogues, (iv) Mark Master and Past Master conferrals as recruiting tools.

Making Education a Part of the York Rite Experience

This presentation will examine various educational means used for candidates, new members, and “old” members. Topics will include: (i) speakers, (ii) study courses, (iii) study groups, (iv) festive boards, (v) websites and flashdrives.

Royal Arch Research Assistance

This presentation will examine Royal Arch Research Assistance, which is the official philanthropy of the General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, International and supports research into Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) through its grants to (i) the Hearing Health Foundation, (ii) Autism Speaks, and (iii) the University of Arizona.

General Grand Chapter Resources

This presentation will examine various resources available from the General Grand Chapter. Topics will include: (i) Capitular Development Course, (ii) Operations & Training Manual for Chapter Officers, (iii) Capitular Best Practices training course, (iv) The Royal Arch Mason Magazine, (v) Royal Arch Masons, International newsletter, (vi) other resources.
